Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday advised his Ministers to accelerate the work of their respective departments for the sake of good governance.

Chairing a meeting of his Council of Ministers at the State Secretariat here, he gave five important tips to his team to improve the potentials of their departments working for the people.

Expressing his satisfaction over the timely submission of monthly work reports by the Ministers, Patnaik suggested them to make extensive tours across the State to get updates of their departments work at the grassroots.

“Pay surprise visits to different offices and institutions of your departments to expedite the services. Meet people during the trips, understand their issues and take direct feedback from the beneficiaries about the Government services,” Patnaik told the Ministers.

He reiterated his 5Ts, Transparency, Technology, Teamwork, Transformation and Time, asking the Ministers to focus on these principles for improvement in the existing system.

Patnaik also advised them to lay emphasis on the computerisation for transparency and efficiency in their respective departments.

He asked them to ensure that 100-per cent work is done through the Odisha Secretariat Workflow Automation System (OSWAS).
