Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday unveiled a Common City Payments System with two main components of Odyssey City Card and My Odyssey Centre to help citizens in making cashless transactions.
The ‘Odyssey’ City Card can be used for payment of property tax, water bills, vehicle parking fees and trade license fees. The card can also be used for making payments at retail merchant outlets.
“The Odyssey City Card will facilitate cashless transactions for several citizen-based services across Bhubaneswar. We are happy to note that ICICI Bank has partnered with State Government to introduce the card. The card is a step towards leveraging technology which will help us in the creation of a digital payment system,” said the CM.
Among others, Development Commissioner and Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL) Chairman R Balakrishnan and ICICI Bank executive director Anup Bagchi were present.
