Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday congratulated the India Men’s Hockey Team for registering a stunning victory in the quarter-finals against Great Britain at the Tokyo Olympics. “May the team continue its momentum and bring much-awaited medal for the country,” Patnaik tweeted cheering the India team. For the first time in 41 long years, India entered the semifinals. Notably, Odisha is the official sponsor of both India Hockey Teams (men and women). Patnaik watched the Sunday’s match at his residence.
He also congratulated Indian badminton player PV Sindhu for her historic win to secure bronze medal in the badminton final at the Tokyo Olympics.
