Naval vessels draw thousands at Paradip

Published on:

Ahead of the annual celebration of Navy Week on December 4, two ships of the Indian Navy, INS Kirch and INS Sukanya, put their anchors at the Paradip port here. They were open to the public on November 13 and 14.

The arrival of the naval ships is an honour to the rich maritime tradition of the State, said a Navy commandant. Thousands of visitors thronged here to visit the two ships berthed at CQ-3 berth of the Paradip Port. The visitors, including school children and NCC cadets, were excited to see the ships and get an impression about the naval prowess of the nation. The Indian Navy and the Paradip Port Trust had made an elaborate arrangement for the public for visiting the ships.
