The 67th National Ban Mahotsav was celebrated by the Paradip Port Trust (PPT) on Friday with a massive plantation programme.
PPT Chairman Rinkesh Roy, Vice-Chairman N Bhayapuri and all HODs led the started plantation drive in and around the PPT New Trade Centre building near the Bethany Convent School. local school children, teachers and Paradeep Municipality Chairman Basanta Kumar Biswal and Executive Officer Dilip Kumar Mohanty also participated in the programme.
The PPT and the Paradeep Municipality have also jointly launched an Aama Paradip Swachha Paradip programme to make the port township greener. Forty-eight students were taken ill after eating packed tiffin and sent to the PPT Hospital. The PPT Chairman visited the students at hospital, The students regained normal condition soon.
