As many as 55 passengers aboard a tourist bus had a narrow escape on Monday as the vehicle rammed into a fence near Dhauli on the outskirts of the city. Though the bus was damaged, there was no report of loss of any life.

According to sources, the incident took place when the bus from Kolkata was on its way to the Dhauli hilltop peace pagoda. The driver lost control over the wheels of vehicle, following which it dashed into the fence.

Notably, this incident is not first of its kind near Dhauli as a tourist bus from Nadia in West Bengal, carrying over 50 passengers, had overturned near Dhauli killing one and injuring over 40 others on October 9, 2014.
