Various organisations observed the 14th death anniversary of the State’s first and so far the only woman Chief Minister Nandini Satpathy here on Tuesday.
Utkal Sammilani Mancheswar Industrial Estate Branch members led by president Dillip Dashsharma garlanded the statue of Satpathy. On the occasion, Dashsharma demanded that the Government maintain the statues of legendaries properly.
Among others, advisor Nimain Charan Das, vice-president Shital Chandra Mohanty, joint secretaries Ashok Kumar Palatasingh, Basanti Tripathi, Akshay Jethi, Niranjan Patra, Gopi Patnaik, Prakash Kumar Samal and Sudhanshu Sahoo were present.
Nandini Satpathy Memorial Trust (SNSMT) members paid floral tributes at her statue at Nandini Satpathy Chowk here. SNSMT chairman Suparno Satpathy said "It is imperative for us to follow the ideologies of Shree Aurobindo, Netaji, Nandini Satpathy and the likes in the interest of country.”
