MS Law University Vice-Chancellor Kamaljeet Singh has appointed Sukant K Nanda as the first Registrar of the university. Nandawas the Principal of the erstwhile MS Law College, which was recently upgraded to the status of a university. In fact, Nanda had played a key role in converting the law college into a university. After completing MA in 1985, Nanda did his LLB and LLM from the MS Law College and started his career as a law Lecturer in a private college in1991.
An expert in teaching Constitutional law and environmental law, Nanda joined the MS Law College as a Lecturer in 1995 and obtained his PhD from the Utkal University in1999.In December 2015, he was made Professor-cum-Principal of the MS Law College.
Nanda has already written six books on different branches of law and has guided at least four PhD awardees so far.
