The BJP on Saturday demanded that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) divulge the names of BJD MlAs and Ministers, who have been named in the chit fund audio CD seized by it recently.
“In an audio CD, an employee of the Seashore Group, Pradeep Kumar Samantaray, has named BJD MlAs and Ministers who have taken chit fund money from the company. Around 17-18 MlAs have taken Rs 550 crore from the Sea Shore company. The CBI should make their names public soon,” said BJP spokesperson Sameer Mohanty in a statement.
Stating that names of many leaders, ministers and IAS officers had been found in a diary seized earlier from Shubhankar Nayak, Mohanty said, “Involvement of BJD leaders and Ministers in the multi-crore chit fund scam has been clear. The CBI should conduct a proper inquiry in order to establish who have taken hard-earned money of poor Oida people.” He demanded that names of MlAs and Ministers be declared before filing up of chargesheet.
