Union Mines Secretary Balvinder Kumar on Thursday said Navratna CPSU Nalco would undertake a cleaning programme on a routine basis in the periphery of the Shreemandir in Puri.
The Union Secretary said this to reporters after a meeting with Chief Secretary AP Padhi and Nalco CMD TK Chand at the State Secretariat here.
The Nalco will take this responsibility as part of its CSR activities in the area, he said.
“Besides, we discussed about the proposed aluminium park in the meeting. The State Government and the Nalco will work together to fix the price of primary aluminium to be supplied to industries,” Kumar added.
The Centre also asked the State Government to put seven to eight mines blocks on e-auction as early as possible and enhance bauxite production.
The Chief Secretary informed him that eight blocks in the State would be put in auction within one month, Kumar said.
On implementation of the District Mineral Fund (DMF), he said, “Odisha is well on the right track in this regard.”
