In that line, Nalco would promote Odishi by instituting scholarships for BPl students who are learning this art form.”
This was announced by Nalco CMD Tapan Kumar Chand while addressing a cultural programme at the Rabindra Mandap here on Friday.
Moreover, the Nalco would also institute an award for literature on Odishi dance which would help in popularising, patronising and propagating Odishi, he said.
It may be mentioned that recently the aluminium major handed over Nalco Kharvel Awards to Odishi exponent Padmashree Ileana Citaristi and noted Odishi dancer Saswat Joshi on its foundation day.
