The Nalco Corporate Officers’ Association (NCOA) has threatened to go on a one-day hunger strike on January 26 at the Nalco Corporate Office to protest against the delay in finalisation of company’s contribution to the pension scheme of executives.
According to NCOA general secretary Suryamani Samal, the deadline set for the presentation of pension scheme has already crossed on October 15, but no productive decision on the issue has been taken. “It seems the management has stop thinking of post retirement life of its own employees,” he said.
Pressing their demands, the association had sent a notice communicating about the hunger strike to the company’s management and statutory authorities on December 18.
