The National Aluminium Company limited (Nalco) joined the nationwide Swachchh Bharat Mission by undertaking a host of activities at its corporate office and residential township here on Thursday.
Apart from administering a Swachhta Shapath among the employees and holding a cleanliness drive, an awareness rally and street play were also organised on the occasion. Besides, as part of a Swachh Vidyalaya campaign, Nalco CMD Ansuman Das also launched construction of toilets at the nearby Damana Govt High School and UGUP School in Bhubaneswar. Other Directors of the company were present.
The company also launched construction of toilets at two more schools in villages of its operating units at Angul and Damanjodi. The Nalco has consented to be an active partner in this campaign launched by the Govt of India and has identified more than 150 schools for providing sanitation facilities.
