The NABARD regional office here launched the Swachchh Bharat campaign on the occasion of the Gandhi Jayanti on Thursday with its entire staff and officials participating in the drive to make the office premises clean and litter-free zone and to create awareness on cleanliness and hygiene among the rural masses.
NABARD Regional Office CGM SK Kale stressed on the need to create awareness about cleanliness at home, work place, streets, roads and public places. He elaborated on a plan of action to involve farmers clubs, SHGs and NGO associated with the NABARD to take up various activities in a mission. District offices of the bank also conducted the cleanness campaigns in their respective districts that witnessed large-scale participation by rural folks.
