woman has died at the Tata Sponge colony situated at Bilaipada under the Joda police station of Keonjhar district in mysterious circumstances.
Sources said Jangyaseni Rout was living in qr.no.70 with her husband Dipak Ranjan Mahalik, who is working as an instrument technician in Tata Sponge. Jangyaseni (24) and Dipak (28), both natives of Dhenkanal district were married four years back and have a daughter of two years.
On Wednesday mornings when the door of the room where Jangyaseni had slept on Tuesday night was found locked from inside, local grew suspicious and then found from the window that a dead body was hanging from the ceiling fan.
After the matter was informed to police, the body of Jangyaseni was seized and sent for postmortem. The accused husband Dipak has been kept under police custody. Joda PS IIC RK Sahoo is investigating the case.
