My priority is Odia film: Kavya Kiran

Actress Kavya Kiran started her career with 3D film Kavri Kanya in Odia and is now entering Bollywood with a film Rang-e-ishq. She also worked for south movies as well for online and print advertisement.

She shares about the journey of her film, “I belong to Bhubaneswar and became an actor after being a classical dancer. I don’t have any filmy background, and if you don’t have any background then it takes time to get adjusted as well as quality work is important too. That is why I am focused for my quality work. I have my priorities towards Odia film apart from Bollywood.  

“I played a role as black doll in 3D horror film Kavri Kanya and am now getting character of a teacher in the Bollywood film Rang-e-ishq.

“The film Rang-e-ishq is quite different as it is a love story based in a village while Bollywood movies released these days are entirely based in metro cities. Our directors and producers have forgotten our villages. This film is running under the banner of the Rudrabhishek and Mets Films and Jayveer Panghal is the producer and Sriniwas Anjappa the director,” she said.
