To ease the burden of tax payment on various carriage vehicle owners, the State Government on Thursday extended the grace period for payment of Motor Vehicle (MV) tax and additional tax to June 30.
A notification to this effect was issued by the Commerce and Transport Department.
The department said due to the lockdown situation, the owners of stage carriages and contract carriages are not able to pay their MV tax and additional tax for April. Similarly, owners of the goods carriages are unable to submit their quarterly tax for the period April-June.
