The passengers of the Mumbai-Bhubaneswar Air India flight had a close shave on Monday when the plane made an emergency landing after detection of a technical snag in the plane.
Sources said the Air India flight no. 669 took off from the Mumbai airport at around 1.25 pm for Bhubaneswar. But suddenly, the pilots detected smoke emanating from the cockpit. So, instead of taking any chances, they instantly decided to make an emergency landing at the Mumbai airport.
Reports said all the passengers of the plane were safe. However, the passengers, who were waiting here to board the flight on its return journey to Mumbai, were resentful due to the delay in arrival of the plane.
