MRs create nuisance at Bhapur CHC

Published on:

The untimely visits of medicine representatives (MRs) in the Community Health Centre (CHC) have hit the health services badly and caused inconvenience for the patients.

The locals alleged that the representatives of Presious Lifesciences and Anisum Lifesciences are virtually camping in the CHC premises and are bribing the doctors to prescribe their company medicines.

They also said that the doctors are prescribing their medicines which are more expensive than the medicines of other companies with same compositions. The locals demanded to ban their entries in the CHC campus further.

When contacted, CHC Chief Medical Officer Dr Ananda Prasad Tripathy said even though he had asked the MRs not to disturb our doctors at working hours in the hospital, the latter were unyielding.
