Dhenkanal MP Mahes Sahu has demanded that the Medical College of MCL in Talcher function early.
Participating in a debate in the Lok Sabha, Sahu presented several problems of the mines affected people of Talcher and lamented that the medical college for which the building and infrastructure are ready is getting delayed as far as its functioning is concerned.
The Dhenkanal MP also demanded a Kendriya Vidyalaya at Talcher.
The Government is getting maximum coal royalty from Talcher but the inhabitants of the area are suffering due to pollution and unhygienic environment.
They are deprived of proper health and education facilities, said Sahu.
