Local MP Chandrani Murmu celebrated Raksha Bandhan with inmates of old-age home Anandashram run by the Ideal Development Agency at Banajodi on Thursday.
Murmu unfurled the National Flag at the Sai Anand School, located in the same campus and distributed prizes among students. Then, she distributed food and snacks to the elderly inmates and tied Rakhi to them.
The inmates shared some time with the MP and enjoyed her company. Competitions on painting with Independence Day theme and making of Rakshi and other activities were held on the occasion. IDA founder secretary Sebati Singh and other office bearers were present.
