Under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM,) the first phase of distribution of incentives for motherhood was started on Wednesday at the Paradip Port Trust Hospital.
The PPT has signed an MoU with the CDMO, Jagatsinghpur to extend these benefits to the local women. Paradip ladies’ Club president Shubhalxmi Roy handed over the cheques to the beneficiaries. Deputy CMO, PPT Hospital Dr Pratima Behera coordinated the programme.
PPT Chairman Rinkesh Roy inaugurated the newly installed Auto-analyser and Cell counting machine the PPT Hospital for conducting all types of blood tests. As part of the upgradation initiative, the machine is installed to ensure appropriate and efficient test results. PPT CMO Dr. Prahlad Panda told, “The advantage of this machine is that it can give results within 15 minutes.”
