The Rajnagar police on Wednesday registered a case against one Anjan Mallick of Iswarpur village on the charge of raping a 35-year-old married woman of Ghadiamala village in Kendrapada district on Tuesday night.
When the woman, the mother of two children, was sleeping, the youth forcibly took her from her house after putting cloths in her mouth. He took her to an abandoned place and raped her. Investigation is on; however, no arrest has been made so far as the accused has fled from the village, informed Rajnagar PS IIC Bijay Mallick. Notably, the victim’s husband works in Gujarat.
