The 3rd death anniversary of teacher Prasanna Kumar Rath was observed by the Prasanna Sir Smuti Sadan at Dhansara under Banki Sub-Division on Thursday. A seminar was also organised on the occasion. Chief Guest senior writer and editor Eti Rani Samant said the real education of human being is to give respect to mother, village and language.
Inaugurating the programme, Doordarsan State branch Joint Controller Smuti Ranjan Swain said education is the only way to identify the differences between human beings and animals. Chief Speaker Banki Autonomous College teacher Major Debasis Das said reading, thinking and listening are different ways of learning. Satirical poet Gyana Hota was the guest of honor. Poet Sailisamrat Debraja lenka, teacher laxman Das and meritorious student Susri Trupei Mayee Panda were felicitated on the occasion.
