Morning classes for the students of Classes-IX, X, XI, and XII began at schools and higher secondary schools in the State on Monday in view of the heat wave conditions.
Timings for students of Classes-IX and XI have been rescheduled to 7 am to 9 am and for students of Classes-X and XII to 9 am to 1 pm.
The District Education Officers (DEOs) have been advised to ensure availability of pure drinking water in all schools and repair of tube-wells, if any, in consultation with officials of the PR & DW Department and urban local bodies.
They have been advised to store sufficient ORS in schools which can be provided to students and staffs in case of need.
