The Meteorological Centre here predicted moderate to heavy rainfall in the next 48 hours in most parts of the State.
According to the release, a cyclonic circulation has formed over northwest Bay of Bengal and the adjoining areas of West Bengal and Gangetic areas which is likely to turn into a low pressure in the next 24 hours.
Under its influence, heavy rainfalls would occur at many places in south and interior and northern districts while rain or thundershower would occur in some parts of the coastal districts in the next 48 hours. The condition would prevail in the next five days till July 23 after which there would be more rainfall.
