While most parts of the State have been witnessing heavy to very heavy rainfalls since last two days, the local Meteorological Centre here on Friday predicted that rain or thundershower would occur at most places over Odisha while heavy to very heavy rainfall would occur at one or two places over interior and coastal Odisha during the next 24 hours.
Gusty surface wind speed reaching 45 to 55 kmph gusting to 60 kmph will prevail along and off Odisha Coast, it added. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.It further stated that yesterday’s low Pressure Area over West-Central Bay of Bengal off North Coastal Andhra Pradesh-South Odisha coasts now lies over northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal off Odisha coasts.
