The State Government has put up for online auction two more limestone mines in Nuapada and Sundergarh districts in accordance with the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 2015. The mines are the Garramura limestone block in Nuapada and the Khatkurbahal limestone block in Sundergarh. The bidders can apply through an electronic bidding process via a platform by the Ccentral PSU MSTC while SBI Capital Markets ltd (SBICAP) has been engaged as the transaction advisor.
The Garramura block has ore reserves of 2.79 million tonnes whole the Khatkurbahal block has 9.9 million tonnes, according to officials.
The last date for purchase of tender documents, after payment of `5 lakh of fee for each mineral block, from the website is February 5, 2016. The last date for submission of the bid is February 10, 2016. The auction process would be completed by the end of March this year.
