The demand for a change of leadership of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) has grown shriller with some former Congress MPs from the State, a freedom fighter and a former Congress leader meeting party vice-president Rahul Gandhi on the issue in New Delhi on Friday.
Former MP Anadi Das, freedom fighter Dolagovinda Pradhan and Trinamool Congress leader Aryakumar Jnanendra called on Rahul Gandhi and demanded a change of leadership in the State party, sources said.
They reportedly alleged that PCC president Jayadev Jena was responsible for the party’s debacle both in the last lok Sabha and Assembly polls. They also blamed former Union Minister Srikant Jena for the party’s poll drubbing in the State, the sources said.
