The allegations made about KALIA scheme of the Naveen Patnaik Government have been proved. Patnaik is just giving election expenses to his party workers in the name of the poor farmers, alleged the BJP Kishan Morcha at Bhuban.
Even if names of Block Chairmen, ZP members, Sarpanchs and top BJD leaders are in “KALIA” list, the Government is mum, it slammed.
Targeting Kamakhyanagar MLA and Mines Minister Prafulla Mallick, the Morcha said the Minister’s own people who are well-to-do are getting benefit of the scheme meant for the poor farmers.
“Once again Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s integrity has been questioned after Minister Mallick’s close aide and Bhuban Block Chairman Dharmananda Baral’s name figured in KALIA List. This reminds of the ugly trend of the BJD administration when Cuttack’s former Mayor was in news for enlisting her name in the National Food Security Act,” told a release of the Morcha.
The Morcha gheraoed the house of Bhuban Block Chairman Baral at Jamunakote village, led by Dhenkanal and Sambalpur Lok Sabha Pravari Er Debashisha Hota, protesting the non-inclusion of thousands of genuine farmers from KALIA list.
Among others, Ranjan Lenka, Dillip Samal, Kalandi Behera and Sudarshan Swain were present.
