It’s good news that people of the State are likely to get relief from scorching heat wave conditions very soon as monsoon is all set to reach Odisha by June 10 as reiterated by the Regional Office of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Monday.
In a release, the IMD said the monsoon is not very far from the Odisha coast and could touch it between June 8 to 10. Nor’wester induced rainfall is most likely to lash the northern and southern districts of the State. However, the weather condition in the interior Odisha would mostly remain dry with continuing heat wave.
Similarly, the weather office informed that a cyclonic formation which was seen over the upper parts of the north Andhra coast might trigger rainfall at several places in Odisha.
Meanwhile, the city which had recorded the seasons highest temperature of 43.6 degree Celsius on Sunday, got some relief from the sizzling heat with showers lashing the city for at least half an hour on Monday.
