Two  teachers,  including  a headmaster, in  Bonei  sub-division of Sundargarh  district are still  at large allegedly after molesting   minor  girl  students.

The Bonei police are yet to nab the accused putting the role of police under lens. Hundreds of locals  of   Tikayatpalli  area under  the leadership  of  Bonei  MlA  laxman   Mundra  had  staged   road blockade  on  NH  143  for  hours  about  13 days  ago demanding arrest  of the accused   headmaster  and  teacher  and the Bonei police  had  assured  at  that  time  that  the  accused  would  be arrested  soon  but  in vain.

According  to  sources, headmaster  Khetrabasi  Pradhan  of   Jenamani High School   had    taken   21  girl  students  of   Class  X  of the  school  to  Badgogua  High  School for  their  appearing  in 10th  exam.

The  girl  students  were  staying  in  a  rented  house where  headmaster  Khetrabasi  Pradhan  was  also  staying. On February  23  night ,  Khetrabasi  allegedly  had  switched  off light  of  the  room  and  called  the  girl  students  one  by  one and  had   shown   them obscene  videos  in  his  mobile  phone  and had  touched  them  inappropriately.  When  the  girl  students opposed the act,   he threatened  the  girl  students  of dire consequence.

After  the  examination  completed  and  the  girl  students   went to  their  home,  they  informed  their  parents  about  the headmaster’s  shameful  act.  After  the  FIR  was  lodged  against accused  headmaster in  Bonei  police  station  on  March  8,  he absconded  and  he  is  still  at  large.

Similarly, Nilambar  Behera, a teacher  of  Bhalupani  Primary School allegedly  had  hugged a 13- year-old  girl  of his village and  had  also  molested  her. The  parents  of  the  victim girl went  to  Tikayatpalli  police  station  and  lodged  FIR on March 22.

“Our efforts are on to arrest them,” said Bonei SDPO SR Mohapatra.
