Modi's cashless move mockery of poor: Cong

All India Congress Committee (AICC) observer Chandra Prakash Vajpayee during his one-day visit to Sundargarh district on Friday decried Modi Government for the demonetization.

He sarcastically said that at a time when poor innocent villagers are searching for rice, the cashless facility declared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a sheer mockery.

On Friday, former MlA of Bilaspur and now the AIIC observer for demonetisation for Sundargarh and Jharsuguda district Vajpayee visited Rourkela and Sundargarh and discussed with the leaders and party workers to campaign against demonetisation.

Addressing a Press meet in the house of Sundargarh district Congress president Dushmant Nayak, Vajpayee strongly criticised the demonetisation declared by the Prime Minister. “The Government has not taken any steps for the development of farmers and agriculture and poor persons are dying due to hunger but without looking into it, Modi took a decision for demonetization, which has been a great setback to common man and has caused lots of difficulties for them.” Vajpayee said. After demonetisation, the rules are being changed every day and the countrymen are living with fear, he alleged.

“Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi had asked Prime Minister Modi how much black money had been deposited in country exchequer after demonetization, how much financial losses the country suffered after demonetization, how many persons lost their jobs after demonetization but the Government is mum,” said Vajpayee, adding, “I will take all these questions to the villagers which Modi has not answered.” later, Vajpayee discussed with the Youth Congress workers and Women members on various issues ahead of the Panchayat election.
