Modi to focus Central scheme hijack by BJD

Published on:

The BJP workers expect that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would touch upon how the BJD Government in the State has hijacked the Central schemes during his address to the farmers here on February 21.

The State Government has been taking credit in many Central schemes by lying to the innocent people, said BJP State secretary Aswini Sarangi. Modi would personally talk to farmers and heed to their problems, besides addressing the proposed samavesh, he said.

During the last 19 months of its rule, the Modi Government has undertaken a host of schemes, including for farmers. They include insurance scheme, soil health card, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sechan Yojana, Dhanjan Yojana, Swachha Bharat Yojana and so on. Western Odisha has got the benefit of establishment of IIM at Sambalpur during the Modi Government, he claimed.

To make people aware of these programmes, the BJP has planned to hold Kissan Mahasammilanis in four States such as Odisha, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and MP, said BJP national secretary and Odisha Pravari Arun Singh.
