Modi takes bribes, imposes demonetisation: Prasad

Pradesh Congress Committee president Prasad Harichandan, quoting AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi, on Thursday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had received kickbacks of `40 crore in nine times from corporate houses like Sahara and Birla when he was Gujarat Chief Minister and waived out `1 lakh crore from 63 companies.

Addressing a Press conference here, Harichandan alleged that Modi came to power at the Centre on the promises to bring back `15-lakh crore black money from the Switch Bank and to distribute the same among the people, but he failed to do so. Instead, he introduced the demonetisation for which common people came to the street and faced lots of problems.

“PM Modi has taken bribes and shamelessly imposed demonetisation on people in the name of fighting black money,” Harichandan said quoting Rahul.
