Gujarat Chief Minister and head of BJP national campaign committee Narendra Modi is likely to visit Odisha on July 16.
As per a tentative programme, Modi will arrive at the Biju Patnaik Airport at 11 am on July 16 and from there, he will straight drive to Puri for darshan of lord Jagannath at the Gundicha Temple during the Rath Yatra. He is also likely to visit the Shree Mandir for darshan of Goddesses Vimala and Mahalakshmi, sources said.
Modi’s short trip to Odisha is reportedly meant exclusively for the darshan of the deities at Puri. However, BJP State president KV Singh Deo is reportedly busy drawing a detailed programme, sources revealed.
The State BJP leaders and workers are quite enthusiastic to receive Modi. This would be Modi’s first visit to the State after he became the chief of the party’s national campaign committee.
