After Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik lashed out at the BJP-led Central Government during the party’s Jansampark Padyatra, BJD vice-president and Minister Damodar Rout on Thursday also slammed the Modi Government.
Rout alleged that the Centre is spreading false and malicious propaganda against the BJD. The BJP has failed to fufil the promises it made to the people before the 2014 elections.
He alleged that the Central Government has failed in all the fronts. Before the elections it had promised to create 2 crore new employment opportunities for the youth.
Similarly, it had promised to hike the minimum support price of paddy by one and half times. It had also assured the people to bring back the black money deposited in the foreign banks. But after coming to power it did not keep it promises, Rout said.
In reaction, BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma said, the BJD has become jittery after they questioned them about their claims.
