Congress leader and Utkala Bikas Juba Parishad president Debiprasad Prusti has termed MSP of paddy and other crops declared on Wednesday as the biggest betrayal of the Narendra Modi Government to the farmers.

In a statement, he said a unanimous resolution passed by the Odisha legislative Assembly had suggested increasing paddy MSP to `2,930 but the Modi Government has now fixed at `1750, which has come as a joke for farmers, said Prusti.

The Prime Minister, who talked high about farmers and promised to implement Swaminathan Commission report, has lastly shown his original anti-farmer image, alleged he.
