The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti was held as Rashtriya Ekta Divas with zest at the BJP State party office here.
Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot attended as chief guest and participated in a marathon which was for national unity from Master Canteen Square. Hundreds of people including BJP leaders and workers participated.
Gehlot recounted the unique contribution of Patel in the unification of the States after independence and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also following Patel as an icon and is committed to usher in development by maintaining nation’s unity and integrity.
Among others, Biswabhusan Harichandan, Amiya Das, Prasanna Mishra, Pruthiraj Harichandan, Nayan Kihore Mohanty, Samir Mohanty etc were present.
