A day before President Pranab Mukherjee’s two-day visit to the State starts, the Odisha Police conducted a full-fledged mock drill in Puri and Bhubaneswar on Thursdayafternoon to check the security preparedness.
Senior police officials, including DGP Sanjeev Marik, Inspector-General RP Koche, Puri SP Asish Kumar Singh took stock of the last-minute security arrangements at the Talabania helipad in the pilgrim city where the President is scheduled to have darshan of lord Jagannath on Friday.
Mukherjee would drive straight to the Raj Bhavan and take rest there. later, he would visit Shree Mandir at 6 pm and stay there for half an hour.
like Puri, the police conducted a mock drill in the Capital city as the President would attend a seminar at the KIIT University on Saturday.
