The DAV Public School CDA Cuttack organised a mock fire and evacuation drill involving teaching and nonteaching staffs on Tuesday to create awareness about firefighting and extinguishing techniques and ways to respond in time of emergency situations.
NDRF Battalion (Munduli) Sub-Inspector Manoj Kumar Sharma and his team members Yashwant Nayak and Raman Rao were welcomed by school Principal Namita Mohanty.
The team demonstrated various techniques which should be followed at the time of medical emergencies like fracture and other minor injuries.
The drill was organised to check the readiness of the school to face any such fire emergency and also to make the students and staff aware about the fire fighting and rescue operation.
