An offsite emergency mock drill was conducted on Monday at Khinda village in Sambalpur district. The purpose of the drill was to create awareness among the local community regarding industrial hazards such as gas leakages and to assess the preparedness.
The drill was organised by the Bhushan Power and Steel limited in coordination with the district administration, ODRAF, OSDMA, technical personnel of IOCl and lPG Bottling Plant, Jharsuguda.
The rescue operation during emergency was demonstrated in the drill.
Assistant Director of Factories and Boilers, Sambalpur AK Nanda, all the senior officials of the District Administration, police, Fire officers, representatives of OSDMA, ODRAF and senior executives of Bhushan were present during the drill.
