Panchayati Raj Minister Arun Sahu on Saturday here launched a mobile-based monitoring system to oversee proper implementation of the Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) and NREGA scheme at the grassroots level.
The new system would be first implemented in 100 gram panchayats in the tribals-dominated Mayurbhanj district. The system is christened as
Mayurbhanj Indira Awas NREGA Allied (MINA). The system would beextended to all the 382 gram panchyats of the district and later to other districts, the Minister said. The Minister distributed mobiles to three Gram Sevaks to monitor the implementation of the IAY NRGEA scheme in their areas.
