In a shocking incident, Astarang BDO Kalyani Pattnaik was abused and manhandled in her office chamber by an irate mob on Monday.
later, the police had to rescue her from the clutches of the mob. She has filed an FIR at the Astarang police station regarding the incident.
Sources said the BDO was transferred from her present place of posting, but she managed to get a stay order on her transfer from the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT).
It was alleged that a group of people who are opposing her were involved in the attack on the BDO. The police said action would be taken against the guilty.
