Padampur MlA Pradip Purohit has urged the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to take steps for unravelling the mystery shrouding over the death of Netaji Subhas Bose and declaring Netaji Jayanti (January 23) as ‘Desha Prema Dibas’.
In a letter to Singh, Purohit reminded him of the promise the Union Minister had made at Cuttack, while attending a function on the Netaji Jayanti in January this year.
Singh was the BJP national president then and had told the audience that efforts would be made to gather all information pertaining to the mysterious disappearance of Bose if the BJP came to power. “Now the BJP came to power with thumping majority, under the charismatic leadership of Prime Minster Narendra Modi and you as the team leader along with a galaxy of leaders. Not only Odisha but the whole nation was charged with your public commitment. Now you are heading the Union Ministry of Home, which will play a vital role in disclosing the mystery,” said Purohit in the letter.
