BJD youth leader Avaya Barik, a known rival of local MlA Ranendra Pratap Swain, on Friday demanded that Tigiria police station Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Susant Satpathy be sent to his place of transfer in Ragayada within 48 hours or else he along with party workers would gherao the PS and observe a Tigiria Bandh subsequently.
Barik stated this at a Press conference at Tigiria on the day. He alleged that the OIC has been working as the agent of the local MlA and harassing innocent people of Tigiria by registering false cases against them.
He demanded that an efficient and impartial officer be posted at the PS. More than a hundred supporters were present at the Press meet.
