Brahmapur MlA Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik on Tuesday urged Minister of State for Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Sanjay Dasburma to take appropriate steps to hold a Circuit Bench of the State Consumer Commission at Brahmapur.
In a letter faxed to Dasburma, Patnaik appreciated the State Government and RDC (Southern Division) for taking many steps for the consumers but regretted that the commission is yet to hold a Circuit Bench in their (consumers’) interest.
Besides, the MlA also faxed a letter to the President of the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission at Cuttack to know what prevents them to hold the bench here.
