local Congress MlA Naba Kishore Das on Monday demanded WODC Chairman and BJD leader Kishore Mohanty’s resignation while alleging that the latter shrewdly recorded three Government plots in his and his family member’ names.
A CAG report recently presented in the Assembly has revealed that irregularities in settlement of land occurred in three Nazul lands in Jharsuguda where settlement of sub-lessee had been done in December 2009 without submission of proof of payment of compensation and all documents were made in favour of two persons and one non-existing organisation.
In reference to this, the Jharsuguda MlA at a Press meet alleged that WODC Chairman had got three plots in Nazul case number 4/2008, 5/2008, and 06/2008.
While one plot was recorded in his wife Alaka Mohanty’ name, another registered in the name of a non-existing organisation and and another in favour of his minor son Purusottam Mohanty.
“In light of CAG revelations, WODC Chairman Kishore Mohanty should resign from his post,” Das demanded.
Das further said he would submit a memorandum to the Governor through Jharsuguda district Collector on September 9.
