Nurses of the MKCG Medical College Hospital, who have been wearing black badges during working hours for the last three days, on Saturday threatened that they would resort to cease-work from November 27 if their all 10 demands are not fulfilled by then.
Nurses in outdoor, casualty and all indoor departments are now wearing black badges to press for fulfillment of their demands, including restructure of cadre, opening of service book for 79 Staff Nurses, regularization of jobs of 57 Staff Nurses who have completed six years in job, various facilities for contractual nurses and recruitment of more Nurses in the hospital. The Nursing Association has given 10 days’ time till November 27 to the MKCG College authorities as the latter had assured to hold talks on their demands.
