Nilakantha Sahu, Head Clerk, MKCG Medical College & Hospital here, was caught red-handed by the Vigilance police on Friday for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs 5,000 from complainant Dr Rasananda Mangual (retired Professor of Surgery of the college in order to process the file for release of final GPF and other pension benefits of Dr Mangual, who has retired from service on March 31, 2019.
Sahu was nabbed in his office room while accepting the bribe.
His residential house at Gosaninuagaon, Brfahmapur was also searched. He will be forwarded to court.
